As a partner of CNES, Astrium and Thales Alenia Space, AKKA Technologies has been one of Europe’s benchmark space companies for more than 15 years. The Group works in a wide range of areas, from the scientific study stages and upstream of the launch into orbit: ground segment (space remote measurement simulation and processing, space imaging), onboard computer systems (R&D studies, production of flight software), navigation, operations, space mechanical engineering (studies and R&D, design, analysis, testing), data evaluation, space antennae and missile guidance systems etc.

Space DIODE

AKKA Technologies has designed the DIODE software (Détermination Immédiate d’Orbite par Doris Embarqué – Immediate Orbit Identification by Embedded DORIS System), embedded orbit restoration navigation using the Doppler effect of the DORIS system (Doppler Orbitography and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite).

For more than 12 years, AKKA Technologies has been developing different versions of this software in response to specific or complex system studies, in particular for Skybridge, Pleïades, the ATV and the ISS. On the strength of its expertise in satellite positioning systems and its close links to the research institutes, the Group also takes part in prospective working groups on the DORIS system.
